The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mandates the use of negative-pressure Airborne Infection Isolation, or “AII,” in the event a patient has contracted an infectious airborne disease such as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV), influenza (Flu) outbreaks, in the event of an infectious outbreak like Ebola, or following a bio-terrorist attack.

BLU-MED medical shelters and mobile hospitals equipped with negative pressure isolation systems meet and exceed the Airborne Infection Isolation (AII) system requirements and controls all three elements of indoor air quality: particles, biologicals, and gas phase (volatile organic carbon compounds).
