Speaking to members of the British Parliament, Bill Gates said the world has a ‘very significant chance’ to stop the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

However, Gates warned that the world must learn from its mistakes in the battle against Ebola because more virulent diseases are sure to follow. The Microsoft founder and billionaire philanthropist also said delays in decision making on how to respond to the Ebola outbreak likely would have led to many more deaths had the infection been more easily transferrable.
